Senior Students
The following sub-pages list biographies of of each of Sensei Tomas Senior Students that reside in the the United States. They are not all members of RSKKR but are still held in a position of respect for their accomplishments.

Shian Toma

Born: on November 26, 1929.
Makes Home: Awase Okinawa Ken, JapanFamily: He is married, has five children, and is a grandfather. Toma Sensei's son holds the rank of 6th Dan in Kendo and is a member of the Okinawan Kendo Team, having been on numerous occasions the Okinawan Kendo Champion. He continues his profession as a police officer.
Year started learning karate: 1945,at age 16 in Osaka, Honshu Japan. His time was short in mainland Japan, trying to find work like many Okinawans. Times were very difficult right after WWII but he resolved to return back to Okinawa after only a year and continued karate study with his boyhood friend and now policeman Shinjato Sokin, under the discipline of Shuri and Tomari Shorin Ryu.
Teachers: Shinjato Sokin, (Given Name?) Uchima, Matsutaro Ire, Zenryo Shimabukuro, Shigeru Nakamura, Seikichi Uehara. Note these instructors represent a good cross section of Shuri and Tomari styles of Shorin Ryu and the Royal Martial Art Motobu Ryu Undun De.
Major awards: Three times awarded Mastership recognition from three different Okinawan Karate validation organizations.
Major events: The opportunity to have good students that have continued to propagate his martial tradition all over the world.
